Feature Documentary Fundraising Campaign

Experience Design Campaign

We had to shoot a city-wide documentary in under two weeks, that would produce a feature length film as well as an extensive photo journal book. With a slated two to three large productions per day that we had to cover, it was up to xLab to raise the funds to make it happen, so that’s what we did. 
We launched an empire of communications, fundraiser events, activations, crowdfunding campaigns, corporate partnerships, and gorilla marketing initiatives all at the same time. The thousands of dollars raised by this campaign provided the crew with the last bit of capital needed to see the filming phase of this production through till the end of WorldPride NYC.

We designed a support page on the projects official website for a branded fundraising channel.

The strategies behind our PR initiatives and press segments, as well as the aggressive social media marketing campaign, were effective channels in our consumer revenue funnel. With all leads landing on our branded support page, everyone was able to learn, invest, share, and get involved. 

In addition to the above, people were able to “Nominate” someone to be featured in either the film, photo journal or campaign. Many of the submissions were accompanied by one of the nominees friends or family donating to the cause in support of their loved one.

Post production has begun, and just like production costs needed support, so does post. We have installed an aggressive timeline to launch an additional awareness and PR campaign to gain further support. This time around our crowdfunding will be coming from corporations, organizations and partner brands. Our campaigns first asset is the films official trailer, set to launch in Fall 2019.
